Adding neck cover rings to a blanket...
Okay....so, my beautiful new blanket (which was a gift) does not have rings in place to attach a neck cover. Well, I just body clipped my horse and he NEEDS to have his neck covered. I am wondering if anyone has ever taken a blanket somewhere to have the rings added to a blanket without them, or if I am just thinking crazy. I love this blanket and REALLY don't want to have to buy a brand new one with neck cover attachments....any ideas?

I'm not sure what they are (I ride western) but I would think I would check out a tailor. Most dry cleaning places have tailors on staff.

My local tack shop has a drop off blanket cleaning service. They also do blanket repairs. If you have something like this locally, I bet they could add the rings for you. They would have more knowledge with horse stuff than a regular tailor. They may know the best spot to locate the ring and the most durable materials to use.
Yea, it doesn't sound like a complicated thing. Be sure you know which hood / necky you want so you can have them put the rings in the right spots.
My barn owner is a whiz with the sowing machine. She has done some things like this before.
