Vitamin supplement
 

Just ordered EZ Keeper Grass vitamin supplement from SmartPak for my...well...easy keeper :wink:

Anyone else use it or have used it? Experiences with it? Just wondering!

By the way since I know some will ask...my mare is 8 years old, pretty active, but puts weight on easily. Besides her hay and limited pasture, she is on oats right now with the above supplement only, because she is allergic to both molasses and soy bean.

I have used it and it's "fine." I also had great luck with GrandVite. If she gains weight easily, then some kind of hay pellet may be better than oats.

Right now I'm using ADM's StayStrong Metabolic Mineral pellets. It's actually cheaper per-day to feed and geared toward easy keepers as well. You feed 1lb a day for most horses. You can buy it online if you don't have a local dealer.

Thanks for the tip! Do you know off hand if it has any molasses or soy bean in it?

I know it doesn't have molasses. I'm not sure about soy. I can check the feed tag for you when I get to the barn tomorrow. It doesn't have a high protein value, so it shouldn't have soy in it...
