I've got Insurance... Now I can do Voluntary Work

Hi :3

I'm 14, and I've been riding for 7 months. I attended a 'Own a Pony' day a while back, so I've learnt how to groom and muck out, ect.

I'm allowed to go and do Voluntary work down at my local stable (Where I ride) and they'd like me to go down tomorrow.

Apparently a girl who works there is going to help me (As its my first day) and show me around.

Though, I can't help feeling a little nervous..

Good luck! The first day is always good for some butterflies, but I am sure you will be fine.

Congrats and good luck.

The best way to learn about horses is working around them. It will also determine whether or not you're really serious about them, or just see them as recreational vehicles.

Don't forget to have fun!

Thank you!

I agree. I've been pretty detemined from the start, and I couldn't wait for my insurance to come through. Though, now it comes to the day, the nerves have started kicking in!
I love Horses - Such amazing creatures.

Thanks for the good luck! :)

It'll be okay. They don't expect you to know much right now, that's why they'll have someone to help you out. Just ask lots of questions, and in a few weeks you'll wonder why you were worried at all (though I understand feeling the jitters in a new situation - especially the waiting before you can start).

Good luck and have fun, what a great opportunity :D.
