A Girl and Her Horse

Me and my old horse had an interesting past. he was only 4 and he started to develop a bucking and rearing problem. he got a bad attitude. but he was my first horse and i gave everything i had to his development. after fall after all i got back up and did some more. i eventually had to sell him. but no one really understood why i kept trying with him. and this poem says that no one has too.
A Girl and Her Horse
I myself cannot explain
How he simply takes away my pain
A simple look from his brown eyes
Lets me know he will not lie
Up and down our journey went
Never being effortless
We overcame the tribulations
Our struggle never restless
Devoted to his development
Using everything I have
I work for a relationship
No one has to understand
I will not give up
And I will not cry
Because I am his voice
And I have no choice but to try
As I place my hand upon his forelock
And his eye lids start to lower,
I know that we have found our peace
One way or another
No matter a personís opinion
I know we are a pair
Holding a special bond between us
That only a girl and her horse can share
