Mane and tail product- Shine On
I bought a trail size of this the other day. Yesterday i bathed my horse because she was terribly muddy. Anyways afterwards I sprayed this product on her. Later on that night I came back to feed her and the other horses. As I led her out to go groom her to get any dust off I felt her and she was SLICK!!!! It left no oily/sticky residue or unpleasant smell. I went to brush her to see if it actually repelled dust and no trace of it. It made her shiny and he mane and tail was extremely soft with no tangles.
I recommend this product to everyone.
I am always looking for great products like that....:D
Did you wait until she was dry to spray it on, or was she still damp?
It has been awhile since I was able to get out and compare products (read labels, ingredients...)
I have heard that those type of products, like Show Sheen, etc., end up actually drying out your horses hair, I think it is the alcohol or silicone? Not sure, don't quote me on that...
Do you know if this Mane and Tail version has those ingredients? Or wax?
Thanks for sharing!
I will look into it to see if there is an wax or any ingrediants that will cause drying. I know it's pH balanced.
I applied it when she was damp but I think you can do it while they are dry as well. I just wanted her to be squeeky clean before I applied it.
I will look tonight at the ingredients :)
Hey thanks, that would be great!
I am (not so) patiently waiting for our weather to warm up enough to start bathing and clipping horses, so I might have to pick some up the next time I make it into town...
If she's slick, be careful when riding!!! It could be like Showsheen and help the saddle end up flipping sideways.
I went to go look at the ingredients and it didn't say what was in it with the trial bottle. I went out and she is still really glossy and her white in her mane looks so glossy!! it has never glistened..not even with supplements...I am happy with it.
I will have to get a big bottle of it and then read the ingredients for ya.
oh and I rode for a bit and no slipping!
I was in town yesterday running a bunch of errands, and made it into Ranch and Home.
They had some in, but even the regular size bottles do not list ingredients.
I might be weird, but I really hate it when they are not required to list ingredients on products!
Especially when you are using them on your beloved animals.....
But that does seem to be the way it is with most of those kind of products, they must all be worried about their competitors steeling their "secrets" or some thing.
I think I am going to try some any way, and see if I notice a big difference from what I have used in the past, it sounds like it is worth a try!
Especially if you say it did not make your saddle slip, that is a bonus.
