What Should I have in My Tack Trunk?
What should I put in it? I just got a new one. :)
Well, that depends on what you do. I event and compete very regularly so here's what's in mine
•Show jumping boots (I don't practice in them)
•Two pairs of bell boots
•old show numbers
•show saddle pads
•my travel hooks

Everything you use on a regular basis to start. You'll see what you can keep at home and what you need at the barn as you use it...
It depends greatly on what you are using your tack trunk for. Shows only or your every day at the barn horse storage stuff?
Depends on what you use it for. Mine is just for storage. I have my polo wraps in there, a crop, braiding bands, scissors, thinner shears, yarn, bottles (fly spray, show sheen, ect), treats, my girth and half-pad...shampoo, sponges, bits, halters, leads, a couple of flash bands that I never use.
I'd probably have my helmet and grooming bucket stuffed in their too, if the boarders and students didn't have cubbies! LOL!
