My new Trail/Endurance horse This is pictures of my first ride on my new horse Duncan on Sunday. He is a QH x Arab, suppossed to be 6 but teeth say 10-15 yrs. He needs a lot of understanding and TLC. But I have been able to make excellent progress with him. He was always too much horse to be ridden and would buck anyone off. Now in less than 2 weks, I can ride him around the hay field. http://i415.photobucket.com/albums/p...dingDuncan.jpg http://i415.photobucket.com/albums/p...ofroundpen.jpg Took over an hour to get on his back. But I just kept quiet and success :D! http://i415.photobucket.com/albums/p...weachother.jpg I am really happy with him and will be riding him everywhere until my little Bakkir grows up. Let me know what you think of him. |
hes a beauty reminds a lot of my friends gelding gambit but he is very level headed congrats on your progress with him :] |
He is KYOOOT. Adorable. |
This is only compounding my recent idea to breed Zierra to a stock horse instead  I've yet to meet a Quarab I didn't like! He's gorgeous! |
hes pretty :) good luck with him |
Thanks guys. I just had to give him a chance even though he bucked me off when I met him. My butt didn't even touch the saddle and I was off. I said no way and then couldn't stop thinking about him. I have him on trial but hes not going back. I took him off the sweetfeed  and have him out 24/7. He's a different horse entirely. And he is even loosing the bulged out terrified look in his eye. Best of all he is soooo sweet and kind. He is soaking up all the attention. There are a lot of kids around and he is great with them. You will have to excuse my riding, I was waiting for the blowup that never came. |

But I love my SE Arab gelding so I would also cross her with a great Arab stud. http://i415.photobucket.com/albums/p...adShot2009.jpg |
