Seminole Gold Chance 10
Does anybody use Seminole Gold Chance 10 feed? Is 10% protein enough to feed a horse or is 12% better? Just want opinions! Thanks! :]

depends on the amount fed and they feed on the amount of protien

Looking at the ingredients I personally wouldn't use it Seminole has too many other GREAT feeds to feed a oats and corn based one

Great, thanks for the advice! What are the main differences in ingredients? Why would you use the Equalizer instead of the Gold Chance 10?

I like to stick with grain free feeds so when I see oats, corn or barley I keep looking they are harder for your horse to digest and can cause alot of issues

Equalizer you are gonna need 1lb a day for nutrition instead of the instead of the 2 1/2 PLUS lbs of the Gold Chance...
if you NEED more you can add calories cheaper then more feed

Thanks so so much! What is your opinion on alfalfa hay? I've been riding my horse for 3-4 days a week in order to build his muscles back up. Do you think it would be necessary for me to give him a flake of alfalfa a couple times a day?

as long as he isn't sensitive toit that is a great idea... the Equalizer has lots of amino acids to promotoe muscle health...
Little story here.. took my husbands mare to vet the other day .. she has been ridden MAYBE 4 times THIS YEAR .. both the assistant adn the VET comment on what great shape we kept her in and how FIT she was... she is on a product similar to the Equalizer made by Kent Feeds :) I had to laugh at them adn tell them it's just good feed cause she was NO WAY in shape/fit

He has had alfalfa hay in the past and did fine on it, I'm not sure why I stopped giving it to him actually! It was a long time ago. That's awesome about your horse looking so great! What kind of feed do you use?
