getting rid of love handles while riding or working with horses?
So I work with my horse everyday and I ride but I usually give my horse a day off or two so she won't always think I'm out to ride her and that's it.
Anyways, I am built larger than some girls but I'm still built like a girl. I have veery muscular legs and I'm proud about that and my arms are fairly toned...could use some more toning BUT how can you get ride of love handles!? Is there aaannnny way to do that by riding or working with your horse or is it with diet and stomach exercises?
I see many people on the form that are thin but I got these love handles I want to go away. I'm insecure about them. Do you guys know any way to get rid of them by working with your horses?
Just increase your hard labor! LOL when you sweat, your heart rate is elevated, which means your burning calories. The more calories you burn, the more your body will start to burn off fat areas and change shape....they may not go away entirely but they should diminish.
So don't be afraid to go out to the pastures and pick up the poop piles. xD
I usually eat small "meal" before I go to the barn (like an apple, or a small piece of chicken). That way, I am burning off excess calories and gaining very few back...then I eat a light snack when I get back, so I'm not putting all the calories I burned off at the barn back on.
And working in the heat helps. But make sure you drink plenty of water, not high calorie drinks
I drink water outside from a hose :D Old fasion way.
Lol. this is off topic but one time I was in the arena riding my horse one time and I had this gallon of water that I would carry along and drink sometimes. Anyways I let my horse drink out of it as well(she succeeded at it..it was awesome and cute). My friends and my husband thought it was nasty of me and they were like you're not going to drink out of that, are you?...i didn't think it would hurt and I think I did drink out of it again...don't remember that part.
I use to do trail work and now that I got laid off I've been sitting at the house. (I am doing a baby sitting job soon for my niece which will be nice. It's through the government and I will get paid $700 a month so it will do untill I get my career fully started)I feel very lazy. I'm cooped up in the house and kind of afraid to go outside alone because someone recently got murdered down the road from us. Gross storyt but he is going to prison....don't do meth! that is all I have to say.
I will go and work around cleaning up poop, cleaning tack,do lots of walking in order to cath my darn horse :P I will eat a small snack before hand...the thing is I have a MAJOR sweet tooth...it's horrible. If I didn't have a sweet tooth like I do then I probably wouldn't have these love handles as well.
pfff, I share drinks with my horse all the time! Water, mountain dew....he used to like popsicles
So going to give that a go!
She might like some...ehh, I also USE to feed my horse pizza...i don't do that anymore but she sure loved it.
I must have a picky horse because she doesn't like peppermints, she doesn't like pizza but she'll stick her nose right in the box, she doesn't like apple chips or granola bars. But she does like candy corn and maple bars along with lettuce from burgers and she'll be really sneaky to get what she wants. I try my best to eat away from her. She's a sneaky thief when she wants to be.
Sampson though I'm not sure. I know he LOVES apple cookies from the feed store and of course carrots and regular apples but haven't tried anything else yet.
Burning love handles...basically what's already been said...sweat off calories, drink lots of water.
A few years ago I wanted to take up jogging, but couldn't find anyone to go with me. The friend whom I was living with at the time had a mini, so I used to take him out running with me.
I will do that with Spike occasionally now. Sometimes if we are out on trail (which is mostly just roads around here, blah) I will dismount and jog for a while. Spike is so used to it, he just jogs along next to me, I don't have to hold him.
I had a horse try to eat my gum once.....If he had fingers I'm sure he would have taken it right out of my mouth
