What if I lose him??????????????????

I am so scared that something is seriously wrong with Cirtus. His hair is not falling out despite my grooming. He is healthy other wise or so he seems. I had him vet checked when he got here in February but I am sooooo worried. I love him so much and don't want to think of life with out him. Help.

He probably just hasnt started shedding yet, a lot of horses i know havent started yet... I guess it depends how the weathers been and their age, is he old? i find they tend to shed out later then the young horses.

He is four... will be five in a week....

I am so scared.... life will not be okay with out him!

Then hes probably just a late shedding horse, if your super worried call the vet and ask him about it, dont get him to come and check him out unless you have told him about it over the phone and he is worried (which i doubt he will be) just call and ask why he could be shedding so late.

Relax, take a deep breath. It's likely something easily treatable or at the very least, easily managed. If it is something like Cushings, you can manage that with daily supplements and diet.
The chances of it being anything near fatal is very slim to none.

Okay. But one of the moderators said a friend of hers lost a horse for this reason. I am a bit antsy.

ridergirl23 06-24-2010 11:28 PM

but think about it? how many times out of a million does that happen? I dont know exactly, but i highly doubt very many! just call the vet! theres no use in getting yourself all worked up when you could just call the vet, get facts, help, and then at least you would have some idea about whats going on. :)

Don't fret! I saw on another post that you have the vet coming out soon, they will be able to help. Is he shedding at all?

Citrus 06-24-2010 11:30 PM

The vet is coming tomorrow.... and I am worried still. I will be at the barn at 11 am........
