Tall Boot Suggestions

Does anyone have any suggestions on English tall boots for showing? I would prefer it if the price was under $100... Because I will have to buy them myself. I was looking at these: Devon-Aire Ladies Nouvelle Field Boots - Statelinetack.com

Do they look any good? I've heard good things and bad things about them.

Which ones do you have, and which do you recommend?

Also, I just found these: Browsing Store - Ovation Finalist Field Boots (no zip) - Slim Calf

I like them and they're cheap, but they don't have a zipper. Is it hard to get them on/off without a zipper?

I would just save up and get a
pair of nicer ones. From what I've seen, ovations are A) bad quality boots, and B) fall apart after awhile. I don't know about Devon aires, but I have ariats and they're really nice boots. Mountian horses are good too.

Yeah, with the 'cheaper' ones you'll just end up spending more money because they'll break down quicker.

You could check on ebay or craigslist.

My old boots were Devon Aires, but they were dress boots, so I can't comment on those particular boots. They were comfortable & lasted me through 7 years of heavy use, & would have lasted longer as schooling boots if they hadn't been cut off in an accident.
Yes, it's harder to get boots on & off without zippers, but they sell boot jacks & pulley things to help with that.

Make SURE you get a pair with a zipper on the back..xD Tall boots can be a PAIN to break in..mine took like 2 weeks and they're still not TOTALLY broken in! Without a zipper..it'd be VERY hard to get your boots on/off (:

I have a pair of pull ons and a pair of zip ups. I love my zip up's because they are just so convinient, but my pull ons are my everyday riding boots and they are actually REALLY easy to get on and off.
