What is 'sweating'? ive heard of people talking about 'sweating' a horse. what is it?
At least around here, 'sweating' a horse was a term used to mean working a horse until it was sweating, but I haven't heard it used in some time.
Has to do with the neck, if I remember correctly. I think halter people put a sort of neck sweater on the horse, which gives the neck a more shapely appearance...?
/not a halter person, can't you tell? XD
You got it. Halter people use a neoprene type neck sweat to get a more refined looking neck/jaw area.
The term can also be used as in sweating a tendon. Its an older treatment for bowed or swelled tendons that involves dmso and saran wrap. It helps get the edema out.
ohhh okay, thanks guys! i have always wondered that. lol
