This is the Story of a Horse Named Ruger...(Pic. heavy!)
There is a horse up at the place I board at. His name is Ruger and he is a Palomino gelding. He is such a sweet horse. A woman named Tami bought him for her daughter Emily. They are both really nice. They rode him for about a summer or so and they are now having alot of financial and family issues going on. So Ruger got pushed aside. He was suppose to be a roping horse and was also suppose to have a little show training on him. She has asked me to help her sell him. I have been riding him. Since my horse has a week off due to a leg injury I decided to take Ruger out yesterday and give him a spa day! He got clipped and given a bath. It's amazing what a little bit of coat enhancer can do! My mom and I nicknamed him Eeyore, because he's so laid back and he always looks depressed. He doesn't get taken out much so when ever I turn my horse out I usually turn Ruger out as well since they are stall mates.
Here are some of the pictures I took of him after I got him all cleaned up. Note: He is about 75lbs underweight.
Ruger...the halter horse..lol:)
Look at those pretty brown eyes!
Ruger is not an english horse:)
Ruger has such a beautiful tail!
My horse Joe and Ruger
My horse Joe...he was jealous
He is gorgeous, so is Joe, but Ruger really needs his hooves trimmed, good on you for giving him so love and attention!
Thank you, he's a good boy, I wish I could buy him.
wow he looks soo shiny and clean :)
Beautiful horses. I love Joe's blaze. And Ruger is just gorgeus!
He's beautiful. He doesn't look underweight at all, just has no muscle tone, especially in the back end. He needs more riding, not more groceries. Glad you are giving him some TLC. They are both adorable.
I love him! How much is he selling for?
He's lovely but like someone else stated he BADLY needs his hooves trimmed. He definitely needs more groceries and more riding to help him develop lean muscle. Poor guy. With some time he could be really nice and worth a bit!
Wow, his color is stunning! Great job, I am sure he enjoyed being pampered. :)
He's a gorgeous boy but I also agree he really needs some farrier work especially on his hind hooves.
