Critique Conformation On New Horse!
This is my 3 year old standardbred, currently standing 16.2, i dont get him till July 31st, the horses he was with were beating him up so he was moved in with the yearlings. He a little rough looking atm.

I tried to get squared shots of him but it was very difficult so bare with me!

I am not sure what the standard for STB conformation is but I think he is a good looking boy. He could use some muscle in his neck and his front pasterns seem to have a bit too much slope but other than that, he looks great.

Yeah once hes home he will look much better ill post new pictures in a month or so to show :) I noticed that too but doesnt seem to effect him! hes got a really nice stride

What a lovely looking gelding, beautiful <3
He has okay proportions, his neck is a little small and needs a lot of muscle to put it into proportion (my boy has this).
He has a good top line, nice short cannon bones, straight plum lines.. but he has very long gangly legs!
I like him a lot!

haha yeah Well he is only 3 too so he still needs to grow into himself! But when hes home im going to be working on his muscles and he will fatten up for sure i don't like skinny horses!

Thanks everyone!
