Solid Paint mare
 

I have a solid paint mare, who I really adore but I wish she had a little more color. Is it true that I can still get a colored baby out of her because it is in her genes? Do I have to breed to a paint to get this or can I breed to a solid stallion?

Yes, you can still get a colored baby out of her because she is a paint, but to ensure color you would probably want to breed to a color stallion.

^^^ what she said :D you would still have a chance of getting a coloured baby if you went with a non-coloured daddy but the likelihood would be higher if you went with a paint :D

If you want to make sure you get a colored baby, just breed her to a homozygous stallion - there are a bunch of them out there. You can even pick homozygous for black or for dun, etc.
