What do I need to work on (jumping and some flat)?
Alrighty people... I am not riding much right now, but I will be riding more soon (right now I'm riding once a week, if that :( ). Say what you need to say, but be somewhat nice if you don't mind...
This is kind of a funky picture, but I didn't want to post all "good" pictures...
This is pretty old...
Sitting trot...
Sorry about it being blurry.

Please only critique me, not the horses.

id just say a little more release(:

Your horses are very cute! I second stormyweather101 that you do need more release. You may want to do some leg work to build your base back up so you don't have to rely solely on your stirrups and reins to keep you in jumping position. Also, try riding without reins and with eyes closed on a reliable horse, if available. You are a very strong rider, and I sympathize with the lack of riding atm!!

Thanks you two! I agree about the release for sure. I do that when my horses are strong towards a jump. The chestnut (he is a 21 yo ex eventer who is still very spunky) was VERY excited and I had never ridden him when he was like that, so I was in "defense mode". The black mare (25 yo ex Grand Prix mare who has sadly passed) was testing the poop out of me and would not jump the fence, so again, I was in "defense mode". But still, I should have released more...

Thanks ocalagirl for the compliment! I rode today and will be riding a few times a week now. My leg was SO weak and it was driving me insane. PS: Feel free to give me critique/tips any time, I love how you ride.

I'm glad to hear that you will be riding more! Thanks :) we ought to ride together sometime, you are very close to me, right? I understand the "defense mode" idea, my horse is the same way sometimes. A stronger leg will help you feel better when he does get strong. Good luck!!

I wish we were closer, it would be fun to ride, but sadly I'm in Washington. I was in Texas this summer to visit a riding friend though. Thanks again!

My only comment is that wherever you are cross country schooling looks way too wet and slippery. :(

It was pretty wet... When we got there the weather looked like it would hold out for us and it was really nice while my friend was riding, but when I got on it started to sprinkle and it continued my entire ride. He wasn't slipping, but I was being careful anyways. :)
