Heres praying that the angels meet him at the gait with a bucket of apples and freedom from pain.

Ooh my goodness. How sad. I have tears in my eyes just looking at that picture.

How old was he?

As far as we know, he was 29 or 30. We had owned him for a year, after his last owner passed away. He had lived his whole life on a mountainside, pretty much as a pet, and survived everything from bear attacks to terrible founder and arthritis. He was such a sweetie, and my kids loved to groom and pet him, because he was always so greatful for the attention. :D
