What Show Saddle???

I'm upgrading my western show saddle and I have no clue what brand to get. Right now I have a dark oil Circle Y, I hate it! I want a light oil, 15.5 to 16", full QH bars, and most importantly will last a long time! (10 years). I found 4 that I love, I have no clue what ones are better.

Saddle 1:http://images.craigslist.org/3n73mf3...58b86516e5.jpg A Showman Saddle, new last year and is light oil and is a 16" Full QH. $825...used.

Saddle 2:http://images.craigslist.org/3n53p43...a6d1c3150a.jpghttp://images.craigslist.org/3kc3mf3...f234e01a66.jpghttp://images.craigslist.org/3n33k33...77454c1a46.jpg A Billy Cook 16". Has close contact cut out skirts, Montana Silver, but a faux back cinch, it is a sunflower oil, has a rawhide covered tree, low horn. It doesn't say the tree size. $1500...used

Saddle 3: A JT International Royal Silver (or Silver Royal) saddle. Sunflower oil, low horn, 16", Full Qh, Lots of tooling. Priced at $995
...new

Saddle 4: I can't remember the brand, the logo is a Circle with an "A" inside. it is very light oil, 16", Montana Silver. Priced at $1600...new

TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK, RECOMMENDATIONS. BAD AND GOOD SADDLES. MY PRICE RANGE IS $800 TO $1800

I had a showman training saddle, and at first I loved it when when I sat in better saddles I hated it ahha.

Some Billy Cooks can be pretty good so I would definitely look at that.

Have you considered finding a Harris or Blue Ribbon without silver? I would make rather see someone riding in one of those with no silver, then a lower quality one with silver.

Especially if you want something that will last you 10 years I think its better to spend more money now and be more satisfied in the long run.

I show AQHA ... I would still rather see someone in a Harris or BR without silver, then a lower quality with silver. Even at the bigger AQHA shows.

That being said I would pass on the showman, check out the Billy Cook and I don't know the other brands.

I found some tacktrader links of other ones. I don't know all of the brands just ones I found that seem to be around the price range you posted.

There's a lot more you can check out on tack trader too

If you upped your price range to $2000-$3000 there are some decent looking saddles on there as well

Aww you didn't have to do that!! I know I should up my price range but I am paying for it by myself, so 1800 is all that I can afford. Thanks so much! I emailed on the 1st one, cause its in my state.

I definitely understand the money constrictions.

I'm sure you'll find something that suits you!!

Look around at some reining saddles too... I noticed you can find some nice ones for cheaper and they have a GREAT seat (well the good ones do ahah)

The circle with the a should be american saddlery. They are nice but on the lower end.

I just love that Showman. It just looks um...classy to me. Not as overdone as some of them are.

Good luck!

definitly dont use this saddle.
quite frankly, the first one on your post was the best. you want a light saddle with tons of silver. brand doesnt really matter.
