Another "What Colour Is He" Thread.
I want to know what colour these two guys are (:

Pony 1:
14.1hh British Warmblood 3 year old gelding (rig )

Pony 2:
14hh re-hab'd(sp? ) Gypsy Cob 5 year old gelding/ex-stallion.
His eye's are part blue part brown if it's any consolation. I got some shots of his body markings if it helps and his odd mane colouration (the fuzzy bit that was rubbed out and now growing back is growing back chestnut instead of black).
His eye.
His mane.
Yes, that's a sarcoid ):
Body shot.

I have my suspicions about the vanner x having a bit of clyde in him somewhere. I should think he was suppose to be about 15.2hh but his growth was stunted from being at early age constantly (broken at 1) and not getting enough food.
I'm just curious to know, the WB is a bugger to handle but Mum would like ot know exactly what colour he is out of interest and I'm hoping to buy one of the hairy's foals in the future and would love to know what he is too (:

Thanks for reading.

Well the first is a bay pinto tobiano (possibly tovero, though you'd have to get him tested to be 100% sure) with some roaning which is caused a believe (someone correct me if im wrong!) by the sabino gene.
The 2nd again is a a bay pinto, though he looks closer to an overo or again tovero with the sabino markings.

That's odd, the first one has no black markings, he looks more like a liver to me or else I'd have had him down as bay tobiano.
The colour in his mane is brown, the same shade as his body markings, and his a lot lighter around his nose.
Confused, I've never seen a bay in his shade and have no black points which, I thought, is pretty much what makes an agouti, an agouti instead of brown?

Yes, he could be a dark chestnut lol hard to tell since some of the pics are in shadow but his ears don't look that black now that i really pay attention. His nose & eyes aren't that dark but some bays arent always super black in those areas either.

The bottom one is a bay paint.

I'd really have no idea about the first one...he is a roan though. Maybe brown?

My guess is chestnut tovero on the first one, and bay tobiano w/sabino on the cob. The sabino gene would give the roaning and big bald face (which is also consistent with him having some Clydesdale in him).

Did wonder if the first was a tovero, but then I heard they have to have either one or two blue eyes?
