How do you keep a horse from walking all over you?

My cousins 5 year old mare is a bit loopy. She will walk just fine with me on her left but gets silly when I am on her right. I was wondering what any of you would do to get her to walk properly and be respectful on the right?

Same thing you do when on the left! When we handle our youngsters, we alternate sides from the start. We also tack and mount from both sides.

Never know when you might have a bum ankle or elbow . . . Better they know before they NEED to know!

Agreed. When he act funny on his left side what do you do? Do the same thing on the right. It might take him longer to figure it out, but keep at it and the light should turn on for him.

I figured as much and will keep working with her. I am serious when I say she is a bit loopy :)
