is this a good score?
My friend is looking into getting a reining horse and has two in mind right now. I was reading the descriptions and one says his last score at a show was 69..is that a good score and then anothers score was 71 1/2 is that a good score to?
Reining starts with a score of 70. Points are added and subtracted as you preform your maneuvers.
To answer you question 69 is just under the staring point with is very good. 71 1/2 is is over the starting point which is even better. There both very good scores. Over 70 will send you to the winnings aswell. Overall though they are both good score.
Sorry for the scatter brain!
It depends on what level you what the horse for. Those scores for a Green reiner or even a rookie would not be bad. For a Int Non Pro or Non Pro or any of the open levels not so much.
Also who is riding the horse when the horse received those scores. If it was the trainer and that is all the horse has then that is not good. If it was a Green reiner at the same level as the person buying the horse then that is a different story.
