Earthquake!! In England of all places?!?

We had an earthquake over here at approx 1am Wednesday morning. I thought a juggernaut was going past, the bed rocked, wardrobes rocked and the tv fell of the wall mount in the bedroom! I know it measured 5.2, but thats big for over here. We never have earthquakes, atleast not the ones that you feel.
I know its not big like a lot of the ones you have in America and places, but its not the norm for over here. I half expected Meg to foal with shock, definately didn't work tho.

oh my goodness! I'm glad you, your family and Meg are ok. I would have been shocked and deathly afraid.

That is scary!

What is a juggernaut?

meggymoo 02-29-2008 01:26 PM

Lol. I think its like a huge wagon/lorry. Or something like that. :D Lol.

FGRanch 02-29-2008 01:31 PM

I see...thanks.

meggymoo 02-29-2008 01:36 PM

 You've got me thinking now. I've heard the word juggernaut said so many times. I could be wrong, but I think its some kind of large vehicle. :D

My mothers boyfiend is from England I will have to ask him...lol

FGRanch 02-29-2008 01:46 PM

I just talked to my mom's boyfriend, Andrew, and he said it is a transport truck (semi)

meggymoo 02-29-2008 02:21 PM

I heard about the earthquake on the news and thought of all my horse forum friends who live in England. I heard it was felt though the whole country  Hope everyone is ok.
I've never experienced one, had to be pretty scary. I've never been to California and never want to go just for that reason. I guess there is a fault line that runs through Kansas and Missouri but its been before my time since it quaked.
