Hunter Jumper Show Clothing
I have my first show coming up in November, and I just went out and bought my show coat, boots, etc. Im just wondering if the colors are acceptable for the show ring :P Here's what I bought:
Sterling Collection Classic Cool Show Shirt- but in this color. I couldnt find the color I got on their website.
Ladies Platinum Collection Show Coat- couldnt find my exact jacket, but it's from that line. Mines pinstripes, however, are a teal blue, so it matches my show shirt. And the overall jacket color is a dark grey.
Ovation Finalist Field Boots
Ovation Extreme Helmet- Mine is in black and grey though, but I bought a black velvet cover for it.
Cheapo Riding Gloves- :P
Equine Courture Breeches
And I went to sallys beauty supply and bought a hair net, but one that goes around a bun, not your whole head. Is that okay to wear? I also have a barrett(sp?) clip to go around the bun and hold it together.
Ive ridden for a long time, but this will be my first show. I think Im showing in Hunter Cross Rails, maybe a flat class as well. Not sure yet.
BTW, the horse Im riding is most likely going to be a bay. Depends on the school horse we decide Im a best match with.
Yes...... Love the shirt color but that shade of teal is a bit 'in your face' (at least online) and some judges don't like the bolder colors. Your trainer should have a good idea of what judges in your area are picky about so run the shirt color by him/her.
In cross rails, as long as its a small show, the barrette net should be alright. If you are going to keep showing, invest the 3 dollars or so in hair nets.
