Is he a quarterarab?

I just got a gelding an he looks like a QH... but he moves and holds himself like an arab... hes dainty and poised and very light on his feet.. ive never seen a QH move like he does...

How do i tell if he is QH/Arab if he isnt registered?

You won't be able to tell unless you know his parentage.

Just because something 'looks' like a certain breed, doesn't mean it is.

Could he have some Arab in him? Sure. But he could also be part Morgan, or Hackney, or Welsh, or any number of breeds that look and carry themselves similarly to Arabians.

In the end, what does it matter? If you bought him without papers, why should it make a difference of what breeds he might be comprised?

I'm always surprised by questions like these, because people knowingly buy horses without registration papers and no history. If you didn't care when you bought him, why should you care now?

i dont care i just wondered if there was a way i could tell...

There's no way of knowing unless you could track down any of his previous owners or breeders. I own a Quarab as well & you wouldn't be able to tell she had any Arab in her if her owners hadnt said so. She lookes pure Qh
