Just wondering how many of you own a weanling/yearling that their belly is big? I will try to get some pics on here but even with the pics its hard to see. She's been wormed 2x already, but she just looks bloated all the time. I know she doesnt get alot of excersise like some of your babies get. Right now we are in the process of finishing our new pasture where all of our horses will get good excersise. She is the only baby in the paddock so no one to really play with. Is it possibly just a hay belly? She's had it for a long time now and it doesnt seem to bother her or she isnt acting any different. She eats, drinks WELL, and goes to the bathroom fine. I have fed her some grain and beet pulp mix. I have probiotics, should I use some more? I think I posted this once before and someone had a pic of their baby with a hay belly but I just want to make sure. I see so many babies on here with a nice tight belly the way they should look. I dont know??? just let me know again what you think?. I could call a vet and have a fecal exam done but I dont know which pile is hers. lol.
How old is she? What were the 2 dewormers you gave her? When did you give them and how much?
I have a yearling with a big-ish belly. He has been wormed and is healthy, he's just really really fat from free choice hay. Though he never had the bloated look I see so many other babies with.
This is him at his fattest
