compare my positions!!

Okay, so many of you know that ive been working for a while to get my darn long legs to stay under me, and to not jump ahead. after extensive work from my h/j trainor, i just wanted to see what you guys thought.

And because this is critique i put all of em in there even if i hate them (ahem the one over the "brush box in progress") and i know i still need to push back with my butt more and give a wee more release!

Well done! Great progress on the legs! And actually just your position overall. In the first photo, you look very stiff and unmoving, but in the other photos you are going much better with the horse. Nice job!

One thing I just have to say is open your shoulders. I also have that problem as well, because I put a lot of my focus on all the other aspects of my jumping position that I don't think about opening my shoulders. As my ex-instructor always used to say: God gave them boobies to you, so show 'em off! Haha.

You sure look a lot better, but your stirrups need to go up about 2 holes...they are way too long. and you need to put your shoulders back, and not jump ahead. But wow, you really made a huge improvement.

flamingauburnmustang- hahaha my trainer is constantly yelling at me about my shoulders, im considering getting one of those posture helpers, no joke. hehe.
erikalynn- it may look like my stirrups are too long because im really tall, 5'11" and have longgg legs, im pretty sure the stirrups were the right legth, but ill shorten them a hole and see what my trainer says tomorrow!

and thanks to both of you im glad to know the work is paying off :D

anyone else!!?

Good job on the improvement.

In the second picture in the after, you have sat down too soon and you can see your horse having an issue getting over. You have super long legs(that I am jealous of) so I am not sure you should take them up. They might then be too short for you. You are getting out of the saddle when you two point.... Also if you took them up, your knee might start going over the knee roll like it did in the first picture of after photos. Looks like you got left behind in the 3rd photo.
