I'm getting in to Eventing and I need a vest. I've already decided that I want a beta 3 tested vest. I'm leaning towards the Rodney Powell right now. Any reason why this wouldn't be a good idea? Any other vest you recommend? Input would be very useful. I don't mind spending the money but I don't want to spend the money and then it not be what I need or for it not to last. Thanks

Dover Saddlery | Airowear Outlyne Flexible Vest .
That's the vest I have and I love it. Pricey but worth it. It is level 3, but is also alot more comfortable than vests like charles owen and rodney powell. I tried lots of vests before deciding on this one. Its designed for women so it fits much better than others like rodney powell. I feel like a turtle in a rodney powell, but this one is much more fitted and less restrictive.

Just be forewarned, the Rodney Powell does not come in solid colors like some of the pictures show. They changed the styles and have black on the sides now. Pretty ugly combo if you like the lighter colors.

Charles Owens is a good one. I've got one, with my confirmation, the tack shop had to order a adult XS for the front portion and and childs XL for the rear portion, none of the other vests would fit right for me. I've never had a problem with it and the one fall I've had with it on, it did it's job. Here's link to Dover's website. Dover Saddlery | Adult's Charles Owen Body Protector .
