Artistic HF members...HELP!!!
So as you may have gathered, I need help with my artwork.
A couple days ago, I started a pencil drawing I will eventually be giving to someone as a christmas gift. I can shade the horse in and everything, but I would like to add a kneeling cowboy which will eventually resemble the person I am giving the drawing to into the lower right corner. But I can't draw!!! (for the record, I traced the horse from the magazine picture). Anybody have any suggestions/ideas for me to draw a realistic looking human into the corner. Any help would be appreciated! :-)
Also, the paper is 8.5 by 11. And could you tell me some "tweaks" I could make to the picture so the horse more resembles the Roan horse?
Watch the head. When you've traced it, you've molded what is the forelock into your horse's head, giving it a dished luck. The eye doesn't seem proportional either.
The head looks a bit small for the body. I know you traced it, and this is how it appears in the photo, but my art teacher always told me that a picture is different to real life. Although something may make sense in a real picture, because that's how it looks, people know in their mind what a horses proportions are. So sometimes you have to tweak it in order for it not to look off
I think the ears need to be a bit bigger, and the belly a little smaller, but other than that, it looks great! I can't help you with the person, I can only do horses, sorry.
the head does need a bit more work to it . but sorry i cant draw people.
like someone said before becareful with the forelock
