- - Show coat?

So I have a horse show in a little under a month away and I was wondering what I can do to get a nice show coat on Tiger? He is being kept in the stall during the day to darken up his spots & protect him from being burned by the sun. I have been putting a light blanket on him at night to keep his winter coat from growing but he still looks dull. I don't really want get a supplement right now because my local feed/tack stores are outrageous on prices and ordering online will take too long (I'd like to start as soon as possible). So is there anything else I can get that isn't quite so expensive? What about vegetable oil? Flax seed? I've heard of these but never tried them.

cocosoya oil! I pay about $35 for 2 1/2 gallons, which would last one horse for ever! I give about 1/4 cup once daily. You will see a huge difference in just a few weeks!

I've read and herd that if you put an egg your horse's feed once a week, it will help condition it and make it shine.

be careful with raw eggs and bacteria!

Don't forget just good grooming! Curry combing and finishing with cactus cloth stimulates skin and oils and makes a horse bloom!!
