Reinsman tacky-too contour pad? Are they any good? Because our dollar is so good I'm considering getting one for Latte to wear under my big stock saddle. I've never bought a western pad, usually ride in square wool pads. Any opinions greatly appreciated! Posted via Mobile Device |
I've never used one but most of the stuff Reinsman makes is good. |
I've had a Reinsman tacky-too endurance/trail shaped pad for several years. Love it, but wanted something with more padding so I bought a used Reinsman contoured microsuede square 30x30 pad with 1" orthopedic felt. I rode with it the first time yesterday on a 7-mile ACTHA ride and was pleased that the withers area stayed up off my TWH's withers really well. It seemed to work well for us but it will take a few more rides before I know for sure. I haven't had any complaints about the construction or the quality of the materials. Also, they really do seem to help keep the saddle from slipping. |
There are quite a few reviews of the Reinsman Tack Too pads if you scroll down about 3/4 of the way on this page: Western Saddle Fittings/Pads |
I have a Tacky Too pad for my mare. I was having problems with the regular pads slipping to the side or out from under the saddle from the back. It seems to work really well for her. |
LOVE them! They keep your saddle from slipping, they have good ventilation and are so easy to clean. |
