Weanling to yearling~ Price increase
Last year I was looking at a weanling QH colt, that is VERY well cow bred. The previous owner was asking $1500 firm for him last winter. I know the people that bought him and now they are thinking of selling him. They have been emailing us about the little fellow. So now he is 8 months or so older (now a yearling), still not gelded, I am betting that he has not seen a vet or vaccinated or his feet done since he was purchased last winter.

The current owner is asking $2500 for the horse now. Do you think that a weanling to yearling increases $1000 in value in 8 months or so? I would say yes if he had been gelded and vaccinated, but just growing for a few months, I don't think so!

What do you think?

I was thinking that we might offer $1800 to $2000 if he is healthy.

I'd offer them $1800. The only thing they've put into him is food.
