So this weekend is Geof and My first real novice. We ha one last week and I froze up and locked my arms and we got eliminated in stadium :-/ my coach believes in us and hopefully I've fixed the problem (we'll see, I'm going to lessons right now...). I've schooled this xc course's training level so I feel fine going into it but it's stadium that's making me nervous! I just needed somewhere to vent..: thanks guys :)

Ok - come on Alex!

If I didn't ride Nelson in a MONTH before this last HT, and we STILL TOOK 1st - then, you can do it!

Did you see my Stadium Round video? Come on! I was so stiff, I was so tense and nervouse...because I hate stadium and I haven't jumped Boo in a month *I revert back to my old fears and bad habits if I don't do it regularily*.....and still manage to GIT ER DONE....then so can you!

You're starting to sound like hey...remember my Catch Phrase ------------------------->

If I have these fears of stadium, and if I can get through it *because I have an amazing horse* then so can you!!!!!

You'll do wonderfully I'm sure!
Holly Hill, first of all, is my freaking favorite event ever! It's a whole lot of fun, and the novice stadium isn't that bad. If you want I can show you a video to my novice stadium there and you can see for yourself! Just remember, look up, don't stare at the jumps and psyche yourself out! It might help you from locking your arms up if you just grab a tiny bit of mane and let your arms move with the movement of the horse's neck. :D

**chants....Go Stormy...Go Stormy...Go Go! **

You'll be fine! You guys are a good team, and have someone backing you up all the way with your coach. If s/he didnt think you could do it, then s/he wouldnt have let you take this next step. Give it all you got and if you can, improve how and what you did next time. Thats what the lessons are for!

Good luck!!

D'awww y'all make me feel so loved :) we had an ok lesson. We had some stops and issues to work through, but we ended on a good note. I scrunch before jumps, and that's my main issue. STADIUM JUMPING IS EASY! STADIUM JUMPING IS EASY!!!!!!!!!!! Strench up, following hands, don't scrunch. Bam, clear round. Positive positive!!!!! And don't slam in his back. I think the show adrenalin will help too,.. And Maybe a five hour energy :) lol I'll keep you guys posted on everything afte I walk tomorrow!!!!

Strange - that would be great!

Also, if I can get 1st place at Holly Hill my (and Willie's) first time EVER BEING THERE you can totally do it too!

You're very welcome! The jump after the apple one had a bunch of caution tape all over it, so they might do that again, otherwise none of them were scary or anything. I think Willie wanted to stop at the apple jump and see if it was good enough to eat, actually. And I apologize in advance, you can hear my mom talking and whenever I come by you can hear me, lol. Near the beginning, I guess the second jump, Willie rubs it and she goes "Don't you dare knock down a pole!"
