Pumpkin guts

Can horses eat pumpkin or squash, mostly the same thing. Just wondering. We're going to carve some pumpkins for the Halloween fun day we're having at the barn and if the seeds were sorted out can the horses have some pumpkin guts, what about pumpkin rines (sp?).

Sure they can. Pumpkin seeds are a natural dewormer, ofcourse like anythingelse don't let them eat 20 pumpkins in one shot.

I've given my horses squash, cucumber pumpkins, and whatnot in the past. Their favorite by far is watermelon, though. It's hilarious watching them eat it with the juice streaming out of their mouths, and their eyes half closed in pure bliss. You sure don't want to stand to close while their eating their goodies, my horses tend to be messy eaters, and they "share" by dribbling all over you.

Ok cool! I thought it would be nice to give them the left over carvings and squishy insides if they'd eat it. Caleigh is a bit picky but I think Sammy and Sis would like it along with a bunch of other horses.

I've never tried pumpkins, but my horses LOVE watermelons! It has to be one if their favorite treats! Drool everywhere!

My mini, goats and chickens all got fed watermelon rinds all summer. Eventually even my dogs started begging for pieces of it cause they saw all the rest of the animals eating it. They didn't like cucumber though no matter how much I tried to get them to eat it.
