Saddles

alright, i thought i might get your opinion on these saddles, but ofcourse i will buy the one that fits me and my horse the best !
Confirmation season is starting here so that means saddles on sale !
the first one is a top reiter saddle JR Special : http://www.topreiter.de/shop/index.c...BDB&psid=68507
it´s in german though, so i can´t understand any of it, but got information at the top reiter shop ! I sat in it and liked it, especially the knee pads ! It was a while ago, so i don´t know if its on sale or what !

The second one is Týr, witch is made by Ruiz Diaz, it is very simular to the saddle Hrímnir ( see link )
I know that one is on sale, and it looks like a saddle i would like !
I have yet to sit in it, but i am planning on going to a tack shop tomorrow !

So, do you see anything wrong with these saddles ? I´m not sure if there is anything different from "regular" english saddles, but they are made specially for the icelandic horse !

They both look comfy, unfortunately I am not familiar with either company, so I can't comment, sorry!

Never heard of either brand. I like the looks of the first one better.

The Top Reiter seems to have a somewhat flat seat while the Tyr looks to have more of a deeper Dressage seat. I'd definitely recommend sitting in both and comparing! Is the Top Reiter made in Germany? Ruiz Diaz saddles are made in Argentina, so the Top Reiter may be better quality if it is actually made in Germany of German leather.

Agreed with what has been said. Your best bet is to take them out and try them. You never know as odds may be that you dislike both, or that neither fit your horse.

Keep us posted.
