College Interview/Riding assessment. Any tips?
I have a college interview and riding assessment on the 15th. I'm not too worried about the personal interview but I am a little worried about the riding interview, I don't know what they'll ask me to do and would appreciate some tips if possible so I can maybe practice some beforehand. I'll be riding western (I think, but then again It doesn't matter for me) and all they told me to wear were jeans and my boots.
I wouldn't know, but they probably just want to see how you ride/handle a horse. Is it just an "assessment" ...to judge what level of riding class to place you? or...
I'm sure you know what to do. Just be confident in yourself!
...maybe someone here has actually done one of these riding assessments and can tell you more about it.
I can only judge based off of my IHSA assessment which basically they asked me to walk, trot, canter both directions. halt, back, sidepass, etc. Like Reiterin said, they basically just want to see you ride to judge your skill level at different movements.
