Holsteiner... To event or not to event

I am looking at buying a 17.1 hand , big bodied holsteiner. Everything's perfect, but I just wanted to ask the audience... Do you think a holsteiner can take me to the higher levels eventing? She is 10 years old and jumping around 3' SO EASILY now, but does she have in in her blood?

Id say if she is fit and healthy and her confo is good and her temp is good, and her movement is good and flowing, and she has the will to do it, go for it :D Most grand prix level horses are holsteiner and hanoverians:D

good luck and have fun!

I think the thing that you have make sure of in the Holsteiners for eventing is stamina and the will to do it. Most have the movement and conformation for eventing, but some lack the stamina and motivation for it. Sometimes you don't know this until you get out on the cross country course and start schooling at the gallop.
