Blanket Rub Marks?

Every winter my horse gets big round rub marks on his shoulders from his blanket. I've read that marks on the shoulder usually mean the blanket is too big, but my horse is inbetween sizes, and it isn't extremely large as in drowning him, just a little loose in that area. I can't afford to go out and buy a new blanket, so I was wondering if there was anything I could do to prevent rubbing.

**Oh and I have tried the horse "bras" but they didn't help either

And do you think it's possible to get it tailored? haha

Thanks! :D

My friend had this problem and she uses like the shoulder sleazies, I don't know if that's what you meant by "bras". This is what she uses http://www.gloverequine.com/sleazy/S...Guardphoto.jpg

Have you looked for an in between size? For example they make a size 75 for horses that aren't a 74 but yet not a 76. Sorry that they sleezies haven't worked for you, they've been great for me.

Thanks for your suggestion! At the moment I can't afford to buy a new blanket but next time I will definitely check that out! Hmm...maybe my sleezie was worn out? I can't remember if it worked the first year I had it but the second year it was really stretched out and worn. I saw on the internet you can sew fleece in, maybe I'll try that...
