Ok so this is my New Forest Gelding he is 14.2hh and is 9 years old I don't know anything about conformation so I was just wondering how his is :) he was cut late as he had a son (was cut at 5 years old) I don't know if that makes a difference or not :) so yeah heres my lovely boy (sorry if the shots aren't great for confo critique I can get some new ones if you like :) oh and sorry if they're a bit big  http://oi55.tinypic.com/8zme1d.jpg http://oi54.tinypic.com/2ag50er.jpg

Overall he looks good! He's well balanced and has an attractive head.
Starting with his neck, it's kinda thick. His back is long and looks weak. He has nice hindquarters though. His legs look good. His pasrtern angle is also good. Fianlly, he needs more muscling

thaks! yeah his neck is quite thick but could that possibly be because he was cut quite late? and yeah like I said, in these pictures he'd been out of work for 6 months, he looks alot better now xD alot more muscle. I haven't noticed his back being weak do you think with more topline work this would improve and do you think it would affect his jumping abillity? because thats what I want to do with him not anything massivly huge 2'6" - 3'0 at most (hopefully) lol

That could possibly be the reason why his neck is so thick. It might just be the breed too.
For his back, it is long. But I might be wrong with theweak part. My mare has a smilar looking back, but she's 10 years older. It shouldn't affect his jumping.

I'm not great at conformation but to me he looks a little long and possibly downhill. Also, something doesn't look quite right with his hind legs.... It could just be the pictures though. He is a lovely color though!

He's a little down hill and that might make it hard to get his hind legs under him. He has a nice pastern angle and I love how the neck ties into the withers. Beautiful pony you've got there

Thank you :) yes now that you've mentioned it I can see he is a little down hill, um I've never noticed anything wrong with his hind legs I don't know :P but he moves fine lol um I hope it doesn't affect his jumping too much :) but he has jumped the 4ft field fence from stand still bless him and cleared with only a minor scratch (horses chasing him in the field from either side so he just popped over the fence haha) I've only jumped him about 1ft so far as we were more concentrating on schooling but jumping may have to wait as we don't have a school so field will be muddy till summer :P I don't mind if he can't jump it was just something I enjoy. um from looking at his conformation do you think you could maybe estimate how high he'd be able to go? a friend said 2'6" courses but I was sort of hoping we might be able to go a little higher :) don't worry if you can't I was just wondering but anyway if you can it would be great :) thanks again for taking time to reply, and yes his colour is beautiful in summer I love it! and thank you SugarPlumLove I think he's lovely too! haha
