Pennfield Feeds
Pennfield's KER Ration Consultant

Anyone used Pennfield feeds? I just found these over the weekend at an Equine Expo. They have no grain beet pulp based feed that seems like it might be the holy grail of weight gain. Above is a link to their feed calculator.

Specialty Feeds - Fibregized Omega

Duh, here's the specific feed I'm looking at for my hard keeper.

I am not familiar with them, at first I was thinking Products but that is a different company close to where I am from.

I know someone who HIGHLY recommends Pennfield. She feeds it to her horse, and she does a lot of nutrition stuff for a big feed store. She's gone to several different feed manufacturing plants, and she says that Pennfield is the best. She did say that the feeds she absolutely wouldn't go for, are Triple Crown, if its from the plant in California, they have some quality issues from what she said, and then the Nutrena feeds. Triple Crown from anywhere else is also one of the top feeds she would give, and she would also recommend Purina feeds. Keep in mind though, that I have no idea what credentials she has if any, just that she is big into nutrition, and this is what she's figured out.

Triple Crown indeed makes high quality, fixed formulation feeds no matter what mill they are coming from. There are many satisified customers in California and the surrounding states who have used our feeds for years. Triple Crown is highly recommended by vets, farriers and of course the customers who love and continue to use it. Triple Crown has a number of feed options to satisify the needs of many different horses, we have options for the hardkeeper, easy keeper and everyone in between. We often recommend TC Complete or TC Senior to the hardkeeper, these feeds are 10% fat, beet pulp based textured feeds. We encourage anyone to call Triple Crown Nutrition to speak to a representative about our products and we'd be happy to help with a feeding recommendation. 800-451-9916

Please spare the Triple Crown sales pitch. The question I asked is about Pennfield feeds.
