Lazy turner
My horse when he turns, it is like his head and neck are lugging around the corner and his body lags behind. No matter how hard I pull the rein, he still does it. when I get him off the turn and going straight, I end up giving him a boot because he is just lazy around those corners! Sorry if I'm not explaining this clearly, its hard to describe! He almost runs into the trees on the side because he just doesn't turn sharp enough! What can I do to break him of this? Its funny, he only does it going counter clockwise. When going clockwise, he rushes in anticipation of the canter. When I am going down the right side of the field ready to go counter clockwise at a trot, he veers left and goes crooked. I put my leg on him and try to push him over but sometimes he trots faster. It is hard to keep my leg on him because I have to post his trot. Any suggestions? sorry for my book LOL. Oh! Also he doesn't like to keep trotting in his circles. :-|

He is not balanced on the side you are having issues with. Pulling harder on the rein will not fix it. It may be a physical problem.

How can I solve it?

I agree with Crimson on this one. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head would just be extra work on the bad side to balance things out. He sounds undermuscled on his "good" side too. The fact that he tries to canter indicates that he's trying to get out of the trot (it's hard work) or he's speedy. Muscle work will help the former. Lots of circles in all gaits. Do more walking on the bad side, as walking builds muscles. Do not pull harder on the reins, he doesn't know how to make sharp turns yet.

Take this with a grain of salt...I'm a little uneducated.
