[[help please!]] Charlie cat leaps jumps...
So ive recently started jumping Charlie,
he hadnt been jumped for a few years because his owner doesnt really enjoy it & had been doing polocross with him.
he seems to enjoy the jumping, the only problem is he cat leaps them like 10x the size of the jump and most of the time i end up landing on his neck. is there any way i can help stop him doing that? because Charlie tends to buck sometimes and its a little worrying landing on his neck because i never know if hes going to start bucking lol.
any help greatly appreciated! thanks!

Grids will help. By your description is sounds like your horses is over-jumping which is common for green horses. If you have a good seat and it is just your horse, or it is both of you, Grids can help you and your horse learn to jump with the right pace and timing.
hope this helps :)

Have you thought about working with a trainer? They will be able to see what is causing what and give you pointers on how to make it a safe experience.
