is it time to move on?
so Riesen is the horse that i have ridden for 2 1/2 years . i have become attached to him but he is not my perfict fit. i want to get more into jumping and he is not that good. The barn where i ride just got shut down and the horses that they havent managed to sell yet are in these makeshift paddoks. i feal really bad because they are willing to sell him to ME and only me for $500 with all his tack and he is a $4,000 horse but my parents wont let me because boarding is to expensive. My instructor has her own barn and i might start riding there but i don't know if i should leave the horse i learned on. Please help. Is it time to move on?

With this market, don't settle if it doesn't fit. You will always have a special place in your heart for the horse you learned on, but sometimes you gotta move on:)

It doesn't sound like you have a choice anyway. Your parents won't pay so regardless of what you want you can't get him.

well first of all-how long do you have? if you have a while, raise as much money as you can and tell you parents you'll pay half of the boarding prices, or try to butter you parents up a bit lol
