Fantastic 4 YO Thoroughbred Gelding 16.3HH in AB
Regrettably offering for sale this athletic, sane black Thoroughbred gelding. He is 4 years old and standing 16.3hh Ė well broke and would be alright for an intermediate rider. Super easy to get along with, not easily spooked and just a gem to be around. Perfect manners both on the ground and in tack.
Has been exposed to many things - can be stalled or live outside with other horses easily. Great to load, tie, tack, good with his feet. Perfect gentleman in new situations, is used to being ridden with high equine traffic, accustom to crowds, machinery etc. Nothing bothers him. Uncomplicated ride, very willing to please.
Has more of a warmblood build over the typical lanky Thoroughbred build. I canít say enough good things about him! Ready to start over fences. 100% sound
Solid black boy with brown muzzle.

Hey there. (: I'd like to know more about this fellow. If you can e-mail me (or private message, whichever you prefer), I'd like to know how much you're asking, about his personality, his primary disciplines, and I may have some other questions.

Holy crap; my vet and I were talking about how rare it is to actually come across a solid black TB. My gelding looks black, and everyone calls him black, but he is actually dark bay. Your boy is beautiful!

Thanks! Only thing that isn't black on him is he has a brown muzzle - so guess he's not totally 100% solid! But pretty darn close, and he's just a sweetheart.

These photos were taken after he'd been off for at least a month, without warm up and in deep snow (as the still shots will show). As such at the canter I was not asking him for a frame, as he was having to focus enough on getting through the snow in a circle without slipping. He does collect at all gaits though. Also note that the gate to the arena is open, as it was snowed in and difficult to close - Birch didn't once try to drift towards it. Can be ridden alone or in a group. Pictures taken with an iphone as camera died after 1 picture. Final picture is of the camera man on Birch, he has only ridden once before in his life and never English.

Price has been dropped to $3,500 CAD until April 15th for a perfect home!
Wow he is nice! He looks so much like my horse! Mine is much older but they are colored and built just alike! I love black horses!
