Sticky: Just a friendly reminder.....

Just thought to give a friendly reminder to THANK your farrier! They go through hell and back to help horses. If your horse is hard to shoe or trim, be sure to take a little extra time to train them so the farrier can do their job safely and properly. It makes things a lot easier for the farrier and the horse. .Erica Duffelmeyer Toothaker, is the best farrier I ever had.She just spent 3 hrs doing my horses. We gave her an extra $10 tip so she could go get a coffee. She was exhausted! Being a farrier is NOT an easy job. Farriers are humans, too and they have lives just like you and I! Don't forget them!It is YOUR job to make your horse behave. Not theirs. Also, they have the right to refuse the job so be cooperative and help them out so they can help you and your horse! They will be grateful! :-P

I always get my farrier a box of european (to get something different) chocolate either before Thanksgiving or X-mas (depending on when is my last trim before New Year). To show him my deep appreciation of his services.

P.S. BTW, I get one for my trainer as well.
