Show color for Black Gelding?

I am trying to decide on a show color for Ace. My black Quarter Horse gelding with white markings. The only thing he has is a blue halter. Which is just because mom grabbed one that would fit him from the store. I can make make covers for my halter and saddle pad. I will be getting a new bridle, boots, breast collar, and I will get him a personalized halter eventually so the halter isn't an issue. What colors would go with him? He are going to be doing:
Competitive Trial
Barrels
Trail class
Western/English Pattern
Fun Classes
Bareback show classes
low level reining

What do you think a good color would be?

I love the way baby blue looks on dark horses or lilac.

any color looks good on a dark horse, especially bright colors like turquoise, and lime green. they really stand out agaisnt the black.

i personally enjoy pink on dark horses, i enjoy the contrast between the girly pink and the manly black. =) but if you want to look fancy, white really stands out. For something fun, like the others said, bright colors are always nice! red, yellow, green, blue, i think almost everything goes well on a black horse! just pick your favorite ;)

Lol, I come from the more "subdued" english rider's perspective... but I've always loved the look of royal blue or navy on a black horse.

Purple!

But with western, I'd go obnoxious. Pink. Lime green. With rhinestones!

I am thinking bright Blue, Lime green, bright orange, or something like that. I have a problem with using a lot of pink on a gelding.

My first thought was red. It's nice and brigt so it will contrast with his dark coat, but also because his name is Ace, like on playing cards, and card faces are black (spades and clubs) and red (hearts and diamonds)

But I tend to overthink these things, so feel free to ignore me, haha

Black is such an easy color - SO many colors look good, aside from brown and sand. :)

I personally, love love love red with black. It pops so much!

Pink looks pretty good too, but you may think that's a bit too girly for a gelding. :P Same with purple.

Turquoise looks FAB.

I personally don't like orange on a black horse, looks like halloween. Lol. Baby blue is also very pretty.
