Hate that i can never hack

Everyone from the yard always goes on hacks in a big group and i hate it that i cant ever go because all of them are naughty on hacks sounds stupid but i miss doing this and wish when everyone goes out and then comes back laughing about how much fun they had i cant join in and i feel left out

Speed Racer 12-15-2010 10:57 AM

Why can't you join them?

Interesting.

Sounds like everyone's horse needs a refresher course on just who is supposed to be the leader. Hint, it's not the horse.

If your horse acts up, mine is not allowed to do so. If I'm unable to control him that's my fault, not yours.

However, if your horse is behaving dangerously to the point where my animal's well being might be compromised, then yes, I'm not going to want you along.

Sounds like everyone, horses and riders, need to be properly trained to handle uncertain situations.

If they can't handle their horses because yours is acting up, then maybe they shouldn't be out hacking either.

There isnt really a disaplinary route for a horse being excited i wouldnt disapline a horse for this reason, i am the boss and she knows that but i wouldnt say that it needs drastic action as there is not much route you can do for this, which is why i have now given up! :(

Rearing is just acting excited and you are ignoring it?

And being excited is one thing. But I highly doubt the others do not want you around because your horse is a little up.

Is THIS a different horse?

dillon 12-15-2010 11:33 AM

Yes this is Tasha and the one that rears is Lola.

Sounds like horse and rider need some training. This behaviour is a training issue, not something to be avoided. You have posted on other threads of your prowess in the jumping arena, your qualifications for National level events so surely training a horse to behave itself when out in a group will pose no trouble to you.
