How long can a pregnant shetland be ridden before birth?

How long can I ride my pony when she's in foal? - or my small children?

Can I continue to lunge her throughout the pregnancy?

I'm not sure about shetlands but my friend barrel raced her mare up until 9 months. Congrats on the foal !

I saw on TV when I was younger that you can ride a pregnant horse until the due date...But I may be wrong.

Its actualy beter for the horse to keep them in work till they foal. If you think about it, it does make alot of since. When being worked they gain muscle, but if not they just turn to fat lawn ornaments. :P
