Any ideas on show names for my Canadian mare?
Her barn name is Ellie.

Sorry, the picture is old but it still shows the essence of her. :]

Hmm well here are some off the top of my head. Ellie Enchanted, Because Ellie said So, Don't tell Ellie, Time for the Torch (because Ellie means Torch i think :} ) Uptown Ellie uhh thats all I can think of right now. Hope this helps!

I'm not usually very good at names, but i'll always give it a go! Did you want her barn name to be part of it at all?
If you do I thought of:

Oh so very Ellie
eloquently Ellie
or Ellie's Shining light (I think ellie can mean shining light)

I also have some which remind me of the name Ellie but don't have Ellie in them:

elementary feeling
elemental storm
Elaborate detail
au naturelle

If you don't want her barn name included you could play up her Canadian origin:

Little miss maple
canadian treasure
Autumn dancer (the most famous canadian racehorse was called northen dancer, and maple leaves remind me of autumn)

sorry if you don't like them, good luck finding one, let us know what you pick :D

She looks like a sweet lady - try extending the name Ellie ?

Lady Elouise
Elouissa

There are lots of names that Ellie is short for that you could play with

Hmmm....I like the suggestion of "Ellie Enchanted"

Here's a few other ideas coming from the parent name which would be Elisabeth or Elizabeth ( I prefer the first spelling because of the soft 's'):

Elisabeth Enchanted
Port Royal's Swan (Elisabeth Swan from Pirates of the Caribbean)
Crowning Light (because Elizabeth is the name of many a saint and queen)
Shakespeare's Muse ( Queen Elizabeth the I is noted as being a major patron to Shakespeare's work.

That's all I can come up with now. Hope something in there suits your fancy! =-)

Elegant Ellie.
Ellies shining light (since ellie means shining light).
Elaine the noble.
Exalted Ella.
