horse buying help

well....where to begin?

currently i own a 12.3 hh welsh pony but as i have all evidence of being tall and out growing him probably within the year : ( on the bright side i don't have the heartbreak of selling a favourite as i get to keep him

when i do out grow him i will need a new horse and was wondering what i should look for?

this is about what i want----

quiet but spirited (not dull but not too highly strung...NOT stallions, O.T.T's etc.)
good all rounder (jumping, dressage, games etc.)
a suitable height for my tallness
a horse that can take me far
good smooth movement, easy tranistions etc.
soft mouth
overall a great ride, loving, willing horse!
must be from within australia
at most 5k...i think....

currently not looking (thankfully coz i love my boy too much) but thinking

any help?

P.S i am currently about 1.6metres and 13 turning 14....any horse height ideas?

Sorry can't help you out cause I don't know the market in AUS. YOu might keep an eye out at local pony clubs and stables for horses for sale. A nice 15+ hand horse should do you well though

I'd go with something between 14 and 15 hands. Might want closer to 15 so you have at least a few years to ride him/her. (Ponies are so much more fun though. lol)

This pony sounds perfect.

I know she is in PA, just giving you an example of a cool pony that looks like what you might want. =]

Good Luck!!
