I have found this blog to be very helpful:

Success In The Show Pen: Training the Showmanship Horse (Updated)

But do one step at a time and lots of praise to your horse.

I start by swinging the end of my lead at thier sholder in a nice slow motion. Not trying to scare or hurt them just adding a little presure so they move thier sholder away from me. I keep the lead chane up so as no pressure is being added. As they move I follow. When they understand that i am wanting them to move thier sholder around then I start working on making them keep thier back left foot still. You wacht thier other leg it needs to step forward and around. Sometimes you need to adjust your body to help the horse out.

Face your horse, push in on the lead, almost to back him up. Just before he does, you get him to turn. Just a little bit at a time. Keep practising that and he'll get the idea :)
